Description
Get up early with high tide, before the dogwalkers appear, and the beach will have plenty of birds in easy reach of a short stroll. Scoicar, Culic mare, Stârc cenușiu and Fluierar cu picioare roșii are all likely on the beach around the waterline. Pietruș, Cioară grivă and Codobatură pestriță may be more likely on exposed seaweed or flotsam around the tide mark. Cioară de semănătură is also possible. Cormoran moțat is most likely hauled out on rocky outcrops, although Cormoran mare is becoming more common in recent times. Pescăruș râzător is common with occasional Pescăruș cu cap negru. Eider and Rață mare are likely in the water.
For a slightly longer walk a path goes along the cliffs at the north end of the bay where Fâsă de stâncă, Mărăcinar negru and Stăncuță de munte could be encountered.
