Description

Sortesø is a nice area for birding. A small bird-tower gives good view to the lake, springtime is good for Black-necked Grebe or breeding Western Marsh Harrier, often many ducks, swans and Eurasian Coot. Occassionally a chance to see Great Bittern and Common Kingfisher.

Access

Parking at Birkevej, next to Birkevej 20. There are marked hiking trails around the lake. The route is approx. 3 km long. On your tour around the 'Swan Lake' you will pass Hjorteparken (deerpark) that houses a little flock of deers. Not long from there you will find a birdwatchtower which has a beautifull view over the lake.
