Description

Baie d'Yves is a major stopover and wintering site for waders, geese and gulls (Common Ringed Plover, Grey Plover, Red Knot, Bar-tailed Godwit, Black-tailed Godwit, Dunlin, Sanderling, Common Greenshank, Eurasian Oystercatcher, Brent Goose). The access to the beach makes it possible to approach the waders closely. Aim for a tide of at least 5,36 meters so that the waders are close enough when roosting at high tide. Stay on the beach, do not enter the Nature Reserve from the beach (restricted access). The Nature Reserve is accessible from the visitor center only, right next to the motorway.
