Description

This open plateau in Montagne de la Folie is an important migration site in the autumn, especially concentrated in the month of October. You can observe more than 100,000 Common Wood Pigeon in one morning. It is also an important site for Red Kite migration. A permanent LPO count is held here every October. In spring it is an interesting area to observe Eurasian Nightjar and Wood Lark.

Français: Pelouse calcicole gérée par le conservatoire des espaces naturels de Bourgogne classée en zone Natura 2000 au titre de la directive habitat. Site de migration d'automne important, surtout concentré sur le mois d'octobre on peut y observer plus de 100 000 Common Wood Pigeon en une matinée. C'est un site également important pour la migration du Red Kite . Une permanence de la LPO s'y tient chaque mois d'octobre. Au printemps c'est une zone intéressante pour y observer l' Eurasian Nightjar ou encore l' Wood Lark.

Access

Access is via the village of Bouzeron, follow the direction "cimetière". When you are there, take the path to the right of it and continue until you reach the telecom antenna.
