Parc du Sausset is a mosaic of wetland, alkaline grasslands, reedbeds and meadows located 15 min from CDG airport and 35 min from Paris.

Description

Parc du Sausset is a very good place to bird for a few hours if you are stuck in Paris! It is home to a few heritage species: Great Bittern (winter), Little Bittern (breeder), Common Snipe and Jack Snipe (winter), Black Woodpecker and Little Ringed Plover (breeder), Bluethroat and European Honey-buzzard (migration). The park is also a good place for entomologists and botanists.

Access

Take the RER B towards Charles de Gaulle Airport and get of at Villepinte. A free parking is in the front of the park. Click on the P in the map to get directions.
