Description

The wetland of Bacucco is part of the coast of Rovigo. On one side of the road you find agricultural fields on the other side of the road marshes, lagoons and reed beds. So, in this area you can see both wetland birds as birds of fields. Among the birds you can see are Common Shelduck, Ferruginous Duck, European Turtle Dove, European Golden Plover, Northern Lapwing, Eurasian Curlew, Common Snipe, Common Sandpiper, Common Greenshank, Common Redshank, Pygmy Cormorant, European Shag, Great Bittern, Little Bittern, Purple Heron, Squacco Heron, Black-crowned Night Heron, Sacred Ibis, Western Marsh Harrier, Hen Harrier, Montagu's Harrier, Eurasian Hoopoe, Common Kingfisher, European Bee-eater, Penduline Tit, Eurasian Skylark, Melodious Warbler, Sedge Warbler, Reed Warbler, Great Reed Warbler, Common Nightingale, Bluethroat, Pied Flycatcher, Common Redstart, Black Redstart, European Stonechat, Northern Wheatear, Citrine Wagtail, Water Pipit and Reed Bunting.
