Description

Overlooking the shores of Lake Temo, the vast area of Monte Minerva is home to one of the most significant natural areas of north-west Sardinia. Monte Minerva is the highest and most extensive plateau in the area. The landscapes of the area, of great beauty and high naturalistic value, offer the opportunity to observe many birds and especially Griffon Vulture. Because of a reintroduction programm of the Griffon Vulture there are feeding stations in the area and the vultures can often be seen. Also Golden Eagle can be seen as they nest on the high cliffs in the area as well as other birds of prey.
