Description

On the west side of the Naardermeer there is a well-known bird hotspot, the polder Hilversumse Bovenmeent. Bird lovers come from far and wide to these shallow ponds to spot egrets, Eurasian Spoonbill and other rare bird species from the polder roads and the viewing screen. In spring but also during both migration periods this area has proven to be an exceptional place. Sometimes Glossy Ibis and Osprey in autumn.
