Description

From the polderkade with viewing platform, there is a good overview of this new nature reserve. Many waders can be seen: Black-tailed Godwit, Ruff, Common Redshank, Avocet and Black-winged Stilt have already been found in the area. The islet is popular with Avocet, Common Tern, Common Ringed Plover and in the fall Caspian Tern. Furthermore, in the immediate vicinity many ducks and geese.

Nederlands: Onderwater gezette polder met eilenadje voor kale grond broeders. Vanaf de polderkade met kijkplateautje is goed overzicht over dit nieuwe natuurgebiedje. Vele steltlopers Black-tailed Godwit, Ruff, Common Redshank, Avocet, Black-winged Stilt hebben het gebiedje al gevonden. Het eilandje is in trek bij Avocet, Common Tern,Common Ringed Plover en in de herfst Caspian Tern . Verder in de direkte omgeving veel eenden en ganzen.

From the Heidenzenersdyk at exit Skar into the dead end road to the end of the road. Then a short walk.
