The Vossenbroek is a birdrich area that is cut in two parts by the A50. An eastern part and a western part.
The Vossenbroek is cut in two parts by the A50 highway. The eastern part is mainly open grassland with scrub here and there. The western part is larger. It is more private and consists of an alder forest surrounded by wet grasslands and woodland. In the middle of the area is an elevation with a badger castle. The Vossenbroek is the only large forest for miles around. Many animals benefit from this and many birds can be found in the area. Waterfowl, songbirds and many raptor species are regularly seen and heard. Among the birds you can see are Bluethroat, Grasshopper Warbler, Icterine Warbler, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker and Water Rail.
It's a nice place for walking, but the area is also suitable for cycling. Park best at the end of Vossenbroekweg (east part) or at the end of Brinkerweg (west part). All parking places are marked on the map.
