Description

Water storage de Uitgang is located in the polder Hensbroek. It is a marsh area with shallow water, reed beds and rougher parts. The area is surrounded by a (higher) dike slope. This wetland offers nesting opportunities for various waterfowl, marsh and reed birds, including Great Bittern and Western Marsh Harrier. Black-headed Gull and Common Tern breed on the calmer islands. Also meadow birds like Black-tailed Godwit, Northern Lapwing, Common Redshank and Eurasian Oystercatcher are seen regularly.

Nederlands: Waterberging de Uitgang ligt in de polder Hensbroek tegen polder het Wogmeer aan. Het is een moerasgebied met ondiep water en ruigere delen. De waterberging wordt omgeven door een (hoger gelegen) dijktalud. Het gebied biedt broedgelegenheid aan diverse watervogels en moeras- en rietvogels, waaronder de roerdomp en bruine kiekendief. Op de kalere eilandjes broeden kokmeeuwen en visdieven. Ook weidevogels als grutto, kievit, tureluur en scholekster worden regelmatig gezien.
