Laguna Salada de Pétrola is a shallow steppe lagoon, 1 to 2 m deep depending on the time of year, located at an altitude of 860 m, about 343 hectares.

Description

Laguna Salada de Pétrola is surrounded by open, flat areas that make bird watching easy here. In the lagoons you can see various aquatic species and others more typical of arid steppes. Among the most common:

Espagnol: Laguna Salada de Pétrola es una laguna esteparia, somera, de 1 a 2 m de profundidad en función de la época del año, ubicada a una altitud de 860 m, de unas 343 hectáreas de extensión. Áreas abiertas, llanas, que facilitan la observación de aves. En las lagunas se pueden observar diversas especies acuáticas y otras más propias de las estepas aridas. Entre las más comunes:

Access

The visit to the lagoon is best by the path to the east of the lagoon from which you can access on foot the bird observatory and the interpretive panel of the space, being forbidden to transfer through the dikes of the lagoon. From Albacete you have to take Take the A-31 and take the detour of the CM-3255 until you reach Pétrola. The lagoon is located on the left, there are two access roads to its surroundings. The second in the direction of circulation allows you to access the observatory.

Espagnol: Se recomienda la visita a la laguna por el camino situado al este de la laguna desde el que podrás acceder a pie al observatorio de aves y al panel interpretativo del espacio, estando prohibido el trasiego por los diques de la laguna.

Desde Albacete hay que tomar la A-31 y coger el desvío de la CM-3255 hasta llegar a Pétrola.

La laguna se sitúa a la izquierda, existiendo dos caminos de acceso a su entorno. El segundo en el sentido de circulación te permite acceder al observatorio.
