Description
The protected areas comprise Dymock Wood SO684288, Daw's Coppice SO693292, Betty Daw's Wood SO 696286, and the nearby Colonel's Wood. The trees are mostly oak, some cherry, and best seen in spring when bluebells, daffodils, woodanemone and wild garlic flowers carpet the ground.
Birds are typical woodland species ie Южный соловей, Черноголовая гаичка, woodpeckers including Малый пёстрый дятел, Пеночка-трещотка, Обыкновенный поползень, Обыкновенная пищуха, Вальдшнеп, Мухоловка-пеструшка, Серая мухоловка, Белобровик, Рябинник, Обыкновенная горихвостка, Серая куропатка and Обыкновенный фазан.

Access
Leave M50 at junction 3, turn right towards Newent then third road on the left runs NE and parallel to M50 for 2 miles. Choice of picnic sites. Footpaths can be muddy in autumn and winter. There is a bus service between Newent and Kempley.
