Description
Eagle Gorge is an easily accessible gorge from Dedoplistsqaro. sup bělohlavý, čáp černý and sokol stěhovavý breed on the cliffs and can easily be seen from specific watchpoints along the routes. On warm days, orlík krátkoprstý and orel nejmenší make regular appearances. In the forest down in the valley Žluva hajní and budníček žlutavý can be heard in spring and summer.
The cliff walls are home to brhlík skalní, skalník modrý and břehule skalní. Near the parking lot strnad černohlavý, strnad zahradní and pěnice vlašská are heard singing or can be seen on migration. In autumn, jeřáb panenský are sometimes seen migrating past the highest tops. Further along the path there is a breeding facility for wild bažant obecný , so a true wild bird of this species has to be encountered somewhere else.

Access
Eagle Gorge is located 130 km east of Tblisi near Dedoplistskaro in the Kakheti region of eastern Georgia. Dedoplistskaro is reachable by road from Tbilisi in about 2.5–3 hours. Parking can be done at the Eagle Gorge parking lot. Press P on the map for directions. From the parking it is a short (but straining) walk towards some watchpoints.
