The Stagni di Marceddì and Corru S'Ittiri form part of a Natura 2000 protected area. These lagoons are a mosaic of brackish and freshwater habitats, shaped by natural inlets, sandbars, and artificial dikes. The shallow lagoons attract waders, gulls, and ducks. Birds you can observe include pisila čáponohá, čírka obecná, husice liščí, kulík bledý, kulík písečný, koliha velká, pisík obecný, vodouš rudonohý, vodouš bahenní, vodouš šedý, kamenáček pestrý, jespák bojovný, jespák malý, linduška úhorní, bramborníček černohlavý, volavka stříbřitá, and racek tenkozobý.
