Description
The area around the cottages is densely vegetated and gets a wide variety of birds, particularly during migration seasons. You can sit on your porch in the morning and have incredible birdwatching while sipping your coffee. The staff can help you to spot birds. You don’t need to wander too far from your safari cottage to find some of the more commonly spotted bird species on Ol Pejeta. These include Grey-headed Kingfisher, White-bellied Go-away-bird, Emerald-spotted Wood-Dove, Tropical Boubou, and Superb Starling around the cottages.
Secretary birds striding and Kori bustards can be found in the open grassland areas. Hornbills, kingfishers and weavers in the woodlands and river systems. And eagles and vultures soaring above the savannah.

Access
Ol Pajeta Safari Cottages are located about 200 km north of Nairobi. The cottages are located inside Ol Pajeta Conservancy, about an hour drive from the main Rongai Gate. Outside of Nanyuki town.
