Around lake Mattmarksee you can search for one of the most beautiful mountainbirds, the zedníček skalní, which likes to live near water. Other birds you can find here are pěvuška podhorní, konipas horský and rorýs velký. From the lake you can walk up the mountain and see kavče žlutozobé fouraging in groups near the "refugio", where you can also search for pěnkavák sněžný. There is a chance of seeing orel skalní and orlosup bradatý flying by.

Access
On the Swiss side you can get here by car and walk. On the Italian side you can go up to Monte Moro by cable car or climb up by hiking.
