If you want to see thousands of plameňák růžový, lyska černá, ostralka štíhlá, hvízdák eurasijský and much more you should visit the Akyatan Lagoon in winter. This is a Ramsar Area of Turkey in the Eastern Mediterranean cost. It is largest lagoon in Turkey. It is also important for jeřáb popelavý in winter. ledňáček hnědohlavý, rybařík jižní and orlovec říční can be seen there. You can find many breeding couples of ouhorlík stepní. Sova pálená is also a breeding bird. One of the highligted species is frankolín obecný which well known by locals and bird watchers.

Access
Best way to reach Akyatan Lagoon is by car. There are village roads which you can use to reach the area. Around the lagoon there are unpaved roads that can be slippery and muddy in winter. Click on a P in the map for directions or coordinates.
