Lake Erçek is surrounded by mountains and hills. The patchy reedbeds and mudflats attracts many bird species. During the breeding season it is easy to see kachnice bělohlavá and during the autumn husa malá flocks are coming to the lake area. On the other side, there are many other species to see such as husice rezavá, plameňák růžový, kvakoš noční, husa velká, lelek lesní, jeřáb popelavý and polák velký.

It easy to reach Lake Erçek by car. Public transport is also available but the frequency in a day need to be take into account. It is possible to drive around the lake by car (65 km). Click on a P in the map for directions.
