Description
Brandon Marsh has 8 bird hides situated around the reserve, overlooking pools hosting flocks of hvízdák eurasijský, čírka obecná and lžičák pestrý in winter, amongst smaller numbers of hohol severní. Scrapes host passage waders in spring and autumn, with breeding vodouš rudonohý, ústřičník velký and kulík říční in summer. Other notable breeding species include good numbers of rákosník obecný, rákosník proužkovaný and cetie jižní, kukačka obecná and Chřástal vodní. ostříž lesní are everpresent throughout summer and into autumn. During the winter Brandon is often host to a Caspian Gull which winters amongst the gulls on East Marsh, with a few Yellow-legged Gulls mixed in too. Notable rarities over the last few years have included jespáček ploskozobý and jespák skvrnitý, lyskonoh ploskozobý, krutihlav obecný and ťuhýk rudohlavý.

Located off Brandon lane, best access is by driving but it is possible to cycle or walk from nearby Brandon village or Binley. Once parked, explore the reserve on foot.
