Description
Chief habitats in Elan Valley and Gigrin Kites are: streams and open water, frequented by grebes, skorec vodní and konipas horský. Access
Kite feeding station south of Rhayader feeds daily each afternoon. It has a hide and parking. Reservoirs are west of Rhayader and have several car parks, wetland birds usually at top ends. For a circular drive to see 4 of the 5 reservoirs, keep turning right to follow Elan valley. Claerwen reservoir is a dead end for cars.
