Gronant has 200 pairs of breeding rybák malý and some rybák severní and rybák obecný. Several wader species, poštolka obecná, Sova pálená, turpan černý, skřivan polní and konopka obecná. On the 4 ha Big Pool reserve there are strnad rákosní, rákosník obecný, šoupálek dlouhoprstý, konipas horský, lejsek šedý, čížek lesní and Chřástal vodní. Sand lizards, natterjack toads, pyramid orchids, sea holly, sea purslane and other wildflowers can be found in the dunes.
