Description
Morton Lochs is made up of three small lochs fringed with reeds, which provide shelter and protection for many birds. The area has five bird hides and a variety of habitats. 113 species are recorded in the area including ledňáček říční, polák chocholačka, kajka mořská, vodouš rudonohý, kopřivka obecná, husa krátkozobá, čírka modrá, volavka popelavá, moták pilich and strakapoud velký. At dusk, five species of bat may be seen.

Access
Drive or cycle south from Tayport and take a sharp left turn to the reserve car park. Click on the P in the map to get directions. By public transport – the nearest bus stops are in Tayport and Leuchars. Buses will stop by request at the Morton Lochs road end. The nearest station is Leuchars on the Edinburgh – Aberdeen line.
