From September to November, and in April/May Painswick hill is good for seeing migrants, especially early morning. Hundreds of holub hřivnáč, kulík zlatý, pěnkava obecná, špaček obecný, drozd kvíčala, drozd cvrčala and sojka obecná can pass through. Also pěnkava jikavec, čížek lesní, dlask tlustozobý, strnad obecný, ostříž lesní, sokol stěhovavý, dřemlík tundrový, kos horský, luňák červený, krahujec obecný and moták pilich possible. 4 miles south of Gloucester on B4073 Painswick road. M5 junction 12. 66 bus from Cheltenham stops nearby. Be aware of golfers, dont obstruct play or become an accidental target. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 4,5 km.
