Description
A large and attractive lake in the Colne Valley with nationally important numbers of wintering birds. Stocker’s Lake is 40 hectares and one of the oldest gravel pits in the area. Over 60 species of breeding birds have been recorded here and the heronry is one of the largest in the UK.

Circular walk round the lake (3,5 km) with great cafe at the end.

Large car park at Rickmansworth Aquadrome (next door). Nearest train is Rickmansowrth station. Easy walk.
