Description
Tatton Park has park and farmland with ancient woodland and two large meres (lakes). The biggest lake is 1 km long. In Spring and Summer this is a good area for migrants - Hirundines, terns and raptors. Nesting species are budníček lesní, strakapoud malý, brhlík lesní, krkavec velký, ostříž lesní, potápka roháč and potápka malá. Winter visitors are potápka černokrká, hvízdák eurasijský, volavka bílá, volavka stříbřitá, bramborníček černohlavý, hohol severní, čírka obecná, polák velký and kopřivka obecná.

Walking, motor vehicle, bicycle, train (Knutsford Station), air (Manchester airport). Park in Knutsford town and walk in (free), in the Park (entrance fee, see the parks website, link below). On the map you see a 12 km circular walk, but it is easy to shorten it.

An excellent place to visit any time of the year. Nearby Knutsford town has hotels, pubs, cafes and 40 restaurants. There are two cafes in the park.
