Description
This stretch of the river Truro is an appealing site for a quick visit being close to central Truro. Parking is easy and free along the road or at adjacent Boscowan Park. View from Sunny Corner or the wooded walk to Malpas. Best known for a varied selection of waders including wintering flocks of up to 100 břehouš černoocasý and 400 jespák obecný. These are joined by the most westerly wintering tenkozobec opačný with up to 4 along with regular vodouš šedý, koliha malá, pisík obecný and the occasional vodouš tmavý.
In passage periods these are joined by small numbers of jespák rezavý, břehouš rudý and kulík písečný. Wintering wildfowl includes good numbers of husice liščí, hvízdák eurasijský and čírka obecná. Scarce species in the last few years have included volavka rusohlavá, kolpík bílý, ibis hnědý, husa krátkozobá, luňák červený and orlovec říční.

Access
The area is easy to access by walking, car, taxi or bicycle from Truro. There is an irregular bus service from Truro. Sunny Corner is accessible for wheelchairs. Above the Sunny Corner garden there are 2 viewpoints giving views up Calenick Creek where birds roost at high-tide.
