The Avant-port is a port zone that includes several basins along the river Rhine. It is easy to see the birds from the riverbank. Many Knopsvane and Blishøne with some Gråand and Skarv year-round, and Troldand and Hættemåge in winter. During a cold winter, Stor Skallesluger is sometimes seen.

The Avant-port of Strasbourg is located on the eastern outskirts of Strasbourg, along the Rhine River. Easy to reach by car or bicycle. Press P on the map for directions. Several tram and bus lines run close to the port area.
