Description
Get up early with high tide, before the dogwalkers appear, and the beach will have plenty of birds in easy reach of a short stroll. Strandskade, Storspove, Fiskehejre and Rødben are all likely on the beach around the waterline. Stenvender, Gråkrage and Sortrygget Hvid Vipstjert may be more likely on exposed seaweed or flotsam around the tide mark. Råge is also possible. Topskarv is most likely hauled out on rocky outcrops, although Skarv is becoming more common in recent times. Hættemåge is common with occasional Sorthovedet Måge. Ederfugl and Gråand are likely in the water.
For a slightly longer walk a path goes along the cliffs at the north end of the bay where Skærpiber, Vestlig Sortstrubet Bynkefugl and Alpekrage could be encountered.
