This is a great place for migrant waterbirds and other lake birds! A lot of rare birds visit this island each year and there is always something interesting to see! Most rarities turn up in April, May, September or October.
Wintering waterfowl including Rødstrubet Lom, Gråstrubet Lappedykker, other Grebes, several species of Duck, including Havlit. Migrating waders in spring and autumn, including Strandskade, Stylteløber, Klyde, Sortklire, Hvidbrystet Præstekrave, Strandhjejle, Stenvender, Lille Kobbersneppe and many more. Also Dværgmåge, Plettet Rørvagtel, Sortterne, Hvidvinget Terne and Hvidskægget Terne and raptors and passerines pass over this spot.
