Description
Blakeney Point is a National Nature Reserve and AONB. Thriving nesting site for Fjordterne, Havterne, Splitterne and Dværgterne. Also Hættemåge and occasional Sorthovedet Måge. Common and grey seals breed. Winter wildfowl such as Ederfugl, Sortand and Kortnæbbet Gås. And rare passage autumn migrants such as Stor Tornskade, Storpiber, Hvidbrynet Løvsanger and Høgesanger. Sivsanger and Rørsanger in the reed beds.

Access
Parking at Cley for those attempting the long difficult walk on shifting shingle to the point. NB the Visitor Centre is currently closed. Park at Morton Quay or Blakeney Quay for boat trips. Check tide times as the car park can get flooded, also boats only run 4 hours either side of high tide. See the link to the tides table below.
