Description
At Gunthorpe Gravel Pits 120+ species of bird have been seen, including Lille Skallesluger, Stor Skallesluger and Toppet Skallesluger in winter, when Vibe, Skeand and teal can be numerous on flooded fields. Spring brings Rørsanger, Sivsanger, Græshoppesanger to breed, and Sortterne, Stenpikker and Bynkefugl on migration. In summer, Lærkefalk hunt swallows over the ponds.
