Description
From September to November, and in April/May Painswick hill is good for seeing migrants, especially early morning. Hundreds of Ringdue, Hjejle, Bogfinke, Stær, Sjagger, Vindrossel and Skovskade can pass through. Also Kvækerfinke, Grønsisken, Kernebider, Gulspurv, Lærkefalk, Vandrefalk, Dværgfalk, Ringdrossel, Rød Glente, Spurvehøg and Blå Kærhøg possible. For report on insect life see link below.

4 miles south of Gloucester on B4073 Painswick road. M5 junction 12. 66 bus from Cheltenham stops nearby. Be aware of golfers, dont obstruct play or become an accidental target. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 4,5 km.
