Description
Created in the 1990's on the site of a former reserve - Wath Ings. Has a track record of passage waders, especially in the Autumn. Around 30 species of wader are recorded annually - including a good chance of a rarity. A range of habitats mean a good species list can be built easily in a morning or afternoon. Skovspurv breed around the centre and the reedbeds have breeding Rørdrum, Vandrikse and Skægmejse. Breeding waders and wildfowl include Klyde, Atlingand and Taffeland and the gull colony is of national importance and includes Sorthovedet Måge. A large Stær roost generally forms most winters.
