Description
Ruddon's Point is said to be the best place in Britain to view overwintering Sortand, Fløjlsand and the rare Brilleand together. Also wintering here may be Ederfugl, Hvinand, Stor Skallesluger, Gråstrubet Lappedykker, Nordisk Lappedykker, all 3 diver species, Sortgrå Ryle and Toppet Skallesluger.
Sanglærke, Skærpiber, Strandskade, Rødben, Stor Præstekrave and Tornirisk breed here, plus Lille Korsnæb, Grønsisken and Fuglekonge in the pines.
As with many east coast sites, rare migrants such as Høgesanger, Hvidbrynet Løvsanger and Lille Fluesnapper may turn up in September.
