Description
Tatton Park has park and farmland with ancient woodland and two large meres (lakes). The biggest lake is 1 km long. In Spring and Summer this is a good area for migrants - Hirundines, terns and raptors. Nesting species are Skovsanger, Lille Flagspætte, Spætmejse, Ravn, Lærkefalk, Toppet Lappedykker and Lille Lappedykker. Winter visitors are Sorthalset Lappedykker, Pibeand, Sølvhejre, Silkehejre, Vestlig Sortstrubet Bynkefugl, Hvinand, Krikand, Taffeland and Knarand.

Walking, motor vehicle, bicycle, train (Knutsford Station), air (Manchester airport). Park in Knutsford town and walk in (free), in the Park (entrance fee, see the parks website, link below). On the map you see a 12 km circular walk, but it is easy to shorten it.

An excellent place to visit any time of the year. Nearby Knutsford town has hotels, pubs, cafes and 40 restaurants. There are two cafes in the park.
