Ballastière de Bischheim is a former gravel and sand extraction site that is transformed into a natural reserve and recreational area. In winter, it is easy to observe many Reiherente and Tafelente. There are also many Lachmöwe and Mittelmeermöwe. In summer, there are only Höckerschwan, Bläßhuhn and Haubentaucher and a few Zwergtaucher.

Ballastière de Bischheim is a former gravel and sand extraction site located in Bischheim near Strasbourg. It's quite far from the tram stop, so it's better to take the car or a bicycle. There's a large parking lot. Press P on the map for directions to the parking lot. The circular walk around the lake is approximately 2 km.
