The Heron Park is located in the centre of the town of Villeneuve-d'Ascq. The 110 hectares of water and greenery that make up the Heron Park form a remarkable link between the city and the agricultural land, a vast area of nature in the metropolis. The park is good for relaxed birding. Among the birds you can see are of course Graureiher , but also Pirol, Stockente, Kuckuck, Buntspecht and Grünspecht.
