Beschreibung
Speicher Schadebach II is a small, quiet reservoir. Thanks to the lake's verdant setting, surrounded by reeds with ample open water, and with trees and fields nearby, it offers a good habitat for numerous birds. It has also been visited by rare species such as Schwarzstorch, Zwergschwan, Wiedehopf, Rothalsgans, Seeadler and even White-cheeked Pintail (Anas bahamensis).

At the end of October, the upper reservoir is drained for the annual "fish harvest." This reservoir is used for fish farming and slowly fills up over the winter, usually being full again by spring at the latest. Many birds can also be found in the upper reservoir, but signs and a barrier prohibit entry to the operational area.
