Foce del Chienti is a connection between the Adriatic sea, the river floodplain and the cultivated land. That is why there is a big diversity of bird species. Seidenreiher, Flußuferläufer, Turteltaube, Zistensänger and Mittelmeermöwe are very common here. But also rarer birds like Brandseeschwalbe, Löffler or Austernfischer can be observed.

The Foce del Chienti is located on the south side of the town of Civitanova Marche. Parking is possible close to the beach. Click on the P in the map for directions. You can only enter the river mouth area by foot The best way to get here is, to take the path next to the river. At the beach you have the best view over the whole area.
