The Valle Vecchia is a great place for both breeding and migratory birds, as it has such a large range of habitats within the area. In the reedbeds there is a large range of species such as Zwergdommel, Purpurreiher and Wasserralle. The lake also has a large variety of rare birds like Stelzenläufer, Rallenreiher and Sichler. The road towards the Valle Vecchia is a great place for Turteltaube, Bienenfresser and Kuckuck.

To get to Valle Vecchia you have to go through Brussa and continue towards the canal Cavanella in a straight line. You will then cross the canal and continue straight ahead, until you reach two lakes ( these two lakes can also be good for birdlife ) where you will then turn right. After turning right keep on going straight until the car park.

Una volta attraversato il canale, continua dritto fino a incontrare due laghetti (anche questi ottimi per il birdwatching), dove dovrai svoltare a destra.
