The proximity to the Ulcinj salina and exit to the Adriatic sea makes the island Ada Bojana a great migration route for birds. Large flocks of Knäkente, Löffelente, Pfeifente, Zwergmöwe, Schwarzkopfmöwe fly over the island on migration. It is wintering site for great numbers of Sterntaucher and Brandseeschwalbe, but Prachttaucher, Sepiasturmtaucher and Samtente too. During breeding season Sichler and Löffler feed in the marshes.
