Lake Zürich (Zürichsee) is a big lake extending southeast of the city of Zürich. There are many points along the banks of the lake to check out the birdlife. Like this point in Horgen. Especially in winter more waterfowl can be seen on the lake, including Rothalstaucher and Mittelmeermöwe. Common birds to see are Höckerschwan, Haubentaucher, Graureiher, Lachmöwe and several species of ducks. Kolbenente is breeding and wintering on the lake.
