Beschreibung
Ouchy Port in Lausanne is a picturesque lakeside area with peaceful shores, lush green spaces, and scenic views of the Alps. The lake and surrounding parklands create a perfect habitat for a variety of bird species.
In spring and summer, you can spot Höckerschwan, Stockente, and Flußseeschwalbe fishing in the water. During the winter, Gänsesäger and Bläßhuhn are commonly seen, and migratory gulls gather by the water. The uncommon Heringsmöwe as well as the rare Silbermöwe and Steppenmöwe, regularly spend the winter in the harbour. With a bit of luck, Schwarzkopfmöwe can be seen throughout the year.
With its serene atmosphere, Ouchy Port offers a relaxed setting for birdwatching, along with beautiful views and plenty of space to enjoy nature in the heart of Lausanne.
