Beschreibung

Aladağlar National Park is known for its dramatic alpine landscape. It spans roughly 55,000 hectares across the provinces of Niğde, Kayseri, and Adana. The park’s terrain is rugged, featuring towering peaks such as Mount Demirkazık, which rises to 3,756 meters. Deep valleys, glacial lakes, and caves add to its geological diversity. The park is home to a rich variety of plant life, including pine, fir, and juniper forests, alongside alpine meadows. Its wildlife includes wild goats, deer, bears, wolves, and numerous birds.

The Çamardi area of the Aladağlar Mountains is a great area for birdwatching. More than 250 bird species have been recorded. You can observe birds such as Kaspikönigshuhn, Mauerläufer, Radde's Accentor, Rotstirngirlitz, Ortolan, Bartgeier, Steinadler, Chukarhuhn, Alpenkrähe, Alpendohle, Ohrenlerche, Ringdrossel, Steinrötel, Weißkehlsänger, several species of wheatears and buntings and many more. Best time to observe these birds is spring or autumn.

I would be very pleased to cooperate with your company as a local guide and accommodation provider for Aladağlar-based birdwatching tours, whether as part of a wider Turkey itinerary or as a focused high-mountain extension. Please feel free to contact me if you would like further details, references, or a proposed itinerary.
