Around the Yedikır Dam, there is a plain where the wintering Sumpfohreule population occurs. Also, the wintering Bläßgans flocks occur around the dam. Beside, the Jungfernkranich breeds close to the dam which is the modern breeding couple of the species in Turkey. Triel can be seen in the northern part of the lake in the flat dusty areas. You can see Flußregenpfeifer, Seeadler, Wachtel, Moorente, Tafelente and many more. Also, this area always has a possibility to see rare species there such as Weißwangengans which is the second record for Turkey. Uhu can be seen there which would be an uncommon record of the species. Therefore, it is obvious that you should go to the dam area to do birdwatching if you can.
