Beschreibung
I was amazed to see that the harbour at low tide is a popular roosting area for autumn migrant flocks of Goldregenpfeifer and Zwergseeschwalbe. Large numbers of Krabbentaucher, Zwergmöwe, Skua, Schmarotzerraubmöwe, Falkenraubmöwe, Atlantiksturmtaucher, Dunkler Sturmtaucher, Dreizehenmöwe and Eissturmvogel can be seen from the clifftop walk east of town.
Beyond the Seaton Cliffs reserve, 3 miles on foot from Arbroath, is Seaton Den, a wooded valley frequented by migrant passerines. Rarities like Gelbbrauen-Laubsänger, Gelbspötter, Zwergschnäpper and Sperbergrasmücke may turn up in autumn.
Cliffs can be steep, take care with children and dogs. There is a tarmac path.
