Brandon Marsh has 8 bird hides situated around the reserve, overlooking pools hosting flocks of Pfeifente, Krickente and Löffelente in winter, amongst smaller numbers of Schellente. Scrapes host passage waders in spring and autumn, with breeding Rotschenkel, Austernfischer and Flußregenpfeifer in summer. Other notable breeding species include good numbers of Teichrohrsänger, Schilfrohrsänger and Seidensänger, Kuckuck and Wasserralle. Baumfalke are everpresent throughout summer and into autumn. During the winter Brandon is often host to a Caspian Gull which winters amongst the gulls on East Marsh, with a few Yellow-legged Gulls mixed in too. Notable rarities over the last few years have included Sumpfläufer and Graubrust-Strandläufer, Thorshühnchen, Wendehals and Rotkopfwürger.

Located off Brandon lane, best access is by driving but it is possible to cycle or walk from nearby Brandon village or Binley. Once parked, explore the reserve on foot.
