Beschreibung
At Gunthorpe Gravel Pits 120+ species of bird have been seen, including Zwergsäger, Gänsesäger and Mittelsäger in winter, when Kiebitz, Löffelente and teal can be numerous on flooded fields. Spring brings Teichrohrsänger, Schilfrohrsänger, Feldschwirl to breed, and Trauerseeschwalbe, Steinschmätzer and Braunkehlchen on migration. In summer, Baumfalke hunt swallows over the ponds.
