Beschreibung
Hedgeley Gravel Pits is a small reserve that attracts wildfowl and nesting waders. It is located 500 m east of the A697, northeast of the village of Powburn, 13 km south of Wooler and 16 km NW of Alnwick. The area has open grazing fields and scattered woodland.

Zugang
Take minor road east from A697, just south of river bridge and Hedgeley petrol station / shop. Parking for c. 6 cars near a small hide looking north, 500 m from main road. Bus service 473 operates 5 times a day between Wooler and Alnwick (not Sundays). Reachable by cycle, for the experienced and enthusiastic!
